We brought Equip Ministries in to share a message regarding the dangers of drugs and the best way to overcome addiction through a relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a message we believe is sorely needed by our youth and adults today. Matt Kelley has spoken to our students, faculty, and to my church for the last 6 years. His personal experience, overcome by God's grace, was clearly communicated by his real life metaphors. His vivid illustrations leave a lasting impression on his audience. Founder, Matt Kelley has the unique ability to use this platform to connect with students on a personal level. He has a unique gift for establishing trust and understanding which is critical when dealing with students on the sensitive topic of substance abuse. Equip's mission has helped many students find hope, healing and a pathway forward to recovery.
The varied presentations always connects with our students through experiences from hunting and fishing whereby they describe how a turkey gets tricked with a turkey call or a duck call lures the mallard into the hunter’s trap just like drugs and alcohol produce similar traps for students today. Equip Ministries is an advocate for prevention and awareness that has without a doubt saved lives of teenagers today struggling to overcome addiction. I would encourage any administrator seeking to impact the lives of their students with a positive message in the area of substance use and abuse to reach out to Matt Kelley and Equip Ministries to share their story at their school. I am providing my highest personal recommendation to the work that Equip is carrying out in this critically needed area.

We had Matthew Kelley from Equip Ministries as our guest speaker for our Wild Game Supper. His powerful message and approach could not have been more perfect for our event. He used the truth and power of God’s Word along with his expertise of the great outdoors in a remarkable way. Matthew easily related the truth of the Bible through hunting and fishing experiences to bring home the truth of God’s word in a clear and applicable way.
